Jackson Stops Property Spot

'You will have read in the press that the country market is flying, everyone is leaving London etc. etc... Not True!!!

We have not seen this mass exodus; in fact our office has seen a huge increase of transactions in SW1, 55% more to be precise over the last few months compared to the same time period last year. This highlights that we have ready, able and willing buyers!

Many potential sellers are also asking if prices are down. Well of course this slightly depends on when you last sought advice but generally speaking they are holding up well and buyers are paying them or close to the guide; if they see the guide as fair. Currently our sales agreed are at 97% of guide price, on average.

So what is going to happen?

Despite new Covid measures we fully anticipate this market to continue. Remember, we came back to work in late May and hit the ground running when travel and social distancing measures were very much more draconian than they are at present. We had a market then hence we have a market now and will continue to have one.'
